Had the opportunity to photograph a wedding here and it was amazing. Stunning venue, and property. The owners are amazing. The owner helped us salvage the brides cake that had melted prior to the going int the freezer. He also helped make sure everything went smoothly and everyone was good. Highly recommend. This was the venue that, my grandson, Kyle and his new wife, Autumn Pieschl, selected for their wedding in October 2025. The weather didn't cooperate for their original wish to have an outdoor wedding, but they transitioned it into the inside of the building and it was still a very beautiful wedding. The landscaping was so pretty in the outdoor areas and the indoor of the venue was very nice!!! I would highly recommend, for a medium to small affair. If more people had attended, it would have been a bit too much. The tables were a little too close together to get up from and move around to mingle with friends and family, but overall, I will give this a top rating!

We had a weekend getaway at Flutterbye. Zach is a terrific host and the property was great for hiking, natural beauty, fishing and relaxing by the fire pit. The living area and bedrooms were simple and cozy. Zach made us dinner on Saturday evening - it was terrific. The morning fruit and cheese tray was accompanied by male bacon scones or everything croissants -- great way to start your day! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick weekend getaway!!

Three reasons I love Flutterbye: 1) The owners - great people inside and out! They genuinely care about the history, natural care and atmosphere of their property - and it shows! Aside from that, they care deeply about your experience in the catering or venue biz and will customize as they can to your needs. 2) The venue - the venue is beautiful and exactly what you need - no more! While they can do anything from help with decor, bartend your event (in my case my wedding), indoor and outdoor settings and run the place at the same time. You won't even notice the evening will fly by and they will pivot as needed if plans change or flow with your decisions while maintaining an enjoyable atmosphere. Kids were able to run around outside without concern of safety and everyone loved our wedding party - inside and out, the evening was smooth and the atmosphere was: party until you drop! 3) THE FOOD. Zach does the catering for Flutterbye catering and it's delicious. Even though my diet is very restrictive for health reasons, I'm always hesitant to eat catered food unless I know it's all freshly prepared with whole ingredients - that's exactly what you get from Zach. I had no issues with his food and felt very full and satisfied after our meal catered for a business meeting. THANKS ZACH & SHANNON!!

We moved from Augusta 28 years ago and found ourselves back in the area for our 34th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful few days catching up with old friends, and to make the time even more special, we booked our stay at FlutterBye. Shannon and Zach were wonderful and made a special dinner for us that we thoroughly enjoyed. I plan to return for our next visit.

When my now husband and I were searching for wedding venues, what stood out was how genuine, down-to-earth, and kind the owners Shannon and Zach were. When working with them, they made every effort to help us create the wedding day we always imagined - they were communicative, intentional, and diligent. Before and on the actual day, their flexibility was huge in helping relieve our stress and anxieties. We planned to have an outdoor ceremony in their beautiful space within the woods. However, on the actual day there was tornado warnings and it downpoured rain causing that to no longer be an option. Through all of that, Zach and Shannon were incredibly reliable, calm, and helped us swerve to still have a beautiful ceremony in their indoor space with their stone fireplace, ambient lighting, and lovely staircase. Also, the food was delicious and guests gave many compliments to us about how tasty the taco bar was! I personally highly enjoyed the giant bowl of queso. If we had chosen any other venue, I do not think we would have had such caring and steady people on our team in such a whirlwind of a day like we did with Zach and Shannon.
